About Prasar Bharati Recruitment : Prasar Bharati is an autonomous body and India’s largest public broadcaster which was set up by the Act of Parliament. It consisted of the highly reputed Doordarshan television network followed by All India Radio and were the only media weapons in public sector undertaking under Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.
The formation of Prasar Bharati was the outcome of demand placed for providing Government owned broadcasters the autonomy which is found prevalent in many countries in around the world. And it was during 1990 when the Parliament of India passed the Act for granting autonomy as per demand. However, it was only during 15th September, 1997 when the act was realized and enacted. The chairperson of Prasar Bharati is Mrinal Pandey and the chief executive officer is Jawhar Sircar. Organizing as well as conducting the public broadcasting services particularly in order to make public well informed, educated and entertained are the major duties and responsibilities of corporation. Further, ensuring of balanced development of broadcasting in television and radio is another major functional responsibility.The chairperson and members besides ex-officio members are all appointed by the President of India in the corporation.

Eligibility Criteria :
- Educational Qualification : BE/B Tech. in computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics or equivalent.
Nationality : Indian
- Age Limit : Age as on 01/11/2013 not more than 25 years.
Selection Process : Merit list will be made based on marks obtained in to”, tz” and in BE/ B. Tech. with the weightage of 15%, 15% and 70% respectively. Top 20 candidates from the merit list will be called for the interview to select 4 candidates.
