LinkedIn requires a Software Engineer

For every software engineering role, you should have a solid foundation in CS with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, software design and problem solving.Ideally, you have experience and/or desire to work in a short-cycle, agile, iterative development team.Lastly, you are pursuing a BS in Computer Science or related discipline academic program.

1. You thrive in a UNIX environment with the ability and interest in picking up new technologies quickly.
2. You have excellent communication skills, initiative and teamwork.
3.  Considerable experience working with open source technologies either professionally or on your own.
4. Enjoy working on a collaborative team and Agile development methodology.
5. You have a passion for learning and technology.
6. You are pursuing a BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or related discipline academic program.

Key Elements:

1. Ruby on Rails, C++, Python, Java (in any)
2. Front-end technologies – Javascript, CSS, HTML, etc.
3. Experience with systems administration
4. Experience with relational database design and administration
