Job Description:
The Speech Application Analyst will be responsible for continually improving 24/7’s premier voice applications. This includes reviewing data sources, such as data feeds, transcription data, live call logs, and whole call recordings to find areas for improvement, trends in caller behavior, and to further understand the caller experience. The Analyst will work with UI Designers, Speech Engineers and Application Engineers to develop a methodology for finding, tracking, and resolving (where appropriate) problems in applications. The Analyst will also perform ongoing refinement tasks on existing applications or products (e.g. accommodating new theatres or company names in grammars, application performance reporting). In addition, the Speech Application Analyst will use cutting-edge analytical tools to conduct multi-dimensional analyses of existing applications and recommend steps to improve them. The Analyst will create analytical reports to be presented to internal and external teams and help design new and enhanced high-volume speech recognition applications. The analyst, working in concert with the Application Designers, will manage analyses regarding presentation of information, guidance, querying, playback, and cognitive load management.
Responsibilities :
1. Analyze application data
2. Create analytical reports of application performance
3. Identify application performance problems
4. Make recommendations to resolve application performance problems
5. Apply speech science to optimize recognition across all [24]7 speech accounts
6. Conduct grammar tuning
Qualifications :
1. Bachelor’s Degree in relevant major (Linguistics, Computer Science)
2. Strong analytical skills
3. Working knowledge of Excel and Unix
4. Familiarity with speech recognition systems
5. Preferred 1 year as an Analyst in a related field or in a Computational Linguistics role
6. Experience with Statistical Analysis
7. Knowledge of SQL
8. Scripting Language like Perl
9. Excellent verbal and written communication skills - including Presentation Skills
10. Strong analytical background and proven ability to make data-driven decisions
11. Outstanding attention to detail
